Located high on a moor overlooking theRoaches and Tittesworth Reservoir, our two Whitehouse Barn Cottages have one of the most spectacular views in the whole of the Staffordshire Moorlands. Very different in style, Hen Cottage and Cloud Loft each offer a cosy retreat after a day's exploring: inside, there are wood burning stoves, comfy furnishings and fascinating features; outside there are dramat
ic views, the songs of skylarks and curlews and the occasional sighting of a hare in the fields below. The heating and hot water are largely provided by a wood-fired boiler the interiors are decorated using eco-paint and all guests are greeted with a welcome pack of local produce including home-made bread and eggs from our very free range hens. Whitehouse Barn Cottages are ideally situated to explore the western Peak District, Staffordshire Moorlands and East Cheshire. Major attractions such as Chatsworth, Alton Towers and Jodrell Bank are within 40 minutes drive away and there are many other quieter places to discover. And our cottages are perfect for those who enjoy walking, cycling, climbing, horse-riding or the many other outdoor activities available all around us.
