Light Blues Head to London

A fantastic day in London as members from across the country gathered in the Grand Temple at Freemasons’ Hall for the Light Blues Communication, presided over by the Pro Grand Master.

The Grand Temple was filled with Light Blues from all over England, joined by representatives from Scotland and both Women’s Grand Lodges. The meeting focused on how Freemasonry communicates in the modern era and what our newest and also long‑standing members can expect from the Craft moving forward.

Our Leicestershire & Rutland contingent enjoyed an excellent programme of presentations followed by lunch before heading home inspired and energised.

A memorable day for all who attended.

A fantastic evening at the Union of Rugby Lodge on Friday 8th May, where members and guests raised an amazing £475 in support of Leicestershire & Rutland Blood Bikes.
Huge thanks to everyone who donated and showed such enthusiasm for this vital volunteer service. It was wonderful to see several members express an interest in joining the team.

Well done Mark!

A huge thank you to Mark Pierpoint for helping get the Warning Zone van looking fantastic with its new signage. We are incredibly grateful for the support and generosity shown in helping us proudly represent Warning Zone out in the community.

The support we receive from the Leicestershire and Rutland Freemasons Leicestershire & Rutland Freemasons goes far beyond financial contributions. This year they are also supporting our Year 6 E-Safety Programme, helping us educate and raise awareness with around 11,000 young people each year about how to stay safer online, make informed decisions, recognise risks, and know where to go for help.

This support is about so much more than funding. It is about local people and organisations coming together, sharing skills, services, time and connections to help charities continue making a real difference in their communities. Support like helping with our van signage may seem simple, but it is absolutely invaluable for helping us raise awareness and reach even more schools, families and young people across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

We are incredibly thankful to Mark and to the local Freemasons for their continued support of Warning Zone and the young people we work with every day.

For Mental Health Awareness Week, we want to highlight the great work of Home-Start Horizons who provide emotional guidance to parents in the local area.

We're proud to be supporting their work with a £15,000 grant, on behalf of Leicestershire and Rutland Freemasons.

The Leicestershire & Rutland Freemasons’ Charity is proud to support the Philharmonia Orchestra and its brilliant Orchestra Unwrapped programme in Leicester.
More than 1,200 local Key Stage 2 pupils, including SEND students, enjoyed the chance to experience a full live orchestra at De Montfort Hall, many for the very first time.

The project brought music into classrooms across the city, trained 13 primary teachers in specialist music skills, and delivered creative workshops in seven schools. Pupils even saw their own artwork displayed during the final concert.

A wonderful example of how music can inspire young people and strengthen our community.
