The Brownlow Lodgings

The Brownlow Lodgings The luxury B&B and private moorings complex on the Grand Union Canal at Ivinghoe Bridge (123). The Brownlow owned and managed by the Adams family.

The Brownlow was built by Lord Brownlow at the time of the construction of the Grand Union Canal in the late 18th century. For many years it was run as a public house and the horses that pulled the barges were rested in the stables whilst their owners refreshed themselves with real ales! The pub closed down in the 1960’s and the stables were later converted into the 5 en-suite rooms that you can s

tay in now. The rooms and breakfast room are non-smoking areas. Thank you in advance for respecting this. As we are located directly on the canal we ask you to take especially good care of young children and keep them supervised at all times in the gardens.
