Been down and tidied up the fire pit.

Unfortunatley it is for a sad reason.

Because of the ongoing fight with Veterans UK for compensation following at Shed Heeran med discharge, we have decided we are going to have to sell the woods.

The Campfire Collective will carry on in some form and the aim will always be to get another woodlands or some land in the future. Just now is not the right time.

We will aim to have a farewell campout.

Thanks to everyone who has supported us over the last couple of years. The money raised last year by RN Veterans MCC and others is earmarked to help Sean Carroll when he finally moves from MOH into his own place soon!

New wood store built and a load of wood chopped up. Not bad for a hot friday afternoon.

Thanks to OG The Campfire Collective member Sean Carroll and new member José Manuel Augusto for building it while Shed Heeran got busy with the chainsaw.

Few trees down in the camping area for this years Great Tommy Sleep Out 28th March.

Shed Heeran has been down with the trusty chainsaw working away to create a bit of space and pile of fire wood for the campfire.

Never a easy thing with me! Seriously Alfie hope you and your dad see this. You dad had the most epic hair tash combo.Magestic! There was another guy but I did get his name it was all a bit quick.

Plus I was trying to fins the bush I dashed my helmet in 😂😂.

Emma hope you are feeling better today. From the scars on your arms you have been fight the the war with your mind for a long time. Keep fighting.

So Shed Heeran's ride home from the Midlands yesterday was interupted by physically stopping someone jumping from a foot bridge onto dual carriageway.

Riding along he saw them clinging to outside of the bridge dangling off. He pulled off the next junction, ditched his bike and ran up to help.

This post isn't about a "look at him". It is about the ethos of the The Campfire Collective. It has and always will be about helping our fellow human, whether we know each other or not.

In the excitment Shed forgot to pass the page details to the other legends that stopped and helped, so they could come to the woods and enjoy some nature and have a party to celebrate saving a life!

So Alfie and his dad, and everyone else who came to aid or if you know anyone who was th. Please get in touch and come along. Please share the post so it might reach them.

Emma, if you get to see this, I am sorry you are going through what you are. Believe me more than one of the collective have been where you are. More than one of us have friends and family that have made that choice.

We can't tell you what the answer on the other side is. They never answer when we ask. You may not think people care about you, but strangers came running when you were in need. You are loved more than you will ever know.

Don't seek a permanent solution to a temporary problem.

To the people that were walking and running passed somone hanging off a bridge when I got there. How? Why?

The RN Veterans MCC have been a supporter of The Campfire Collective since it's conception.

Last year they spent the year rasing money for us and there is LITERALLY nothing we can do to thank them!

Keep an eye out for improvments made from their donations that will help homeless veterans and others that use the space.
