The Riverside Inn is set deep in the countryside of Herefordshire, yet still close to Ludlow and Hereford. Authentic and atmospheric, this 16th century black and white building is surrounded by the natural beauty of the River Lugg. Inside The Riverside Inn bar and restaurant, the surrounds are unspoiled and unchanged, with log fires, candles, hops and pine. We aim to surprise and please you with o

ur food, offering classic flavours in a country style with original touches that make quite a difference. We source from Herefordshire and Shropshire farms, producing and cooking everything ourselves, except for the deliberately short list of interesting cheeses, which are bought locally. Andrew and his team pride themselves creating traditional Marches flavours from developing a real “field to plate” culture, through the use of our extensive gardens and orchards.

Congratulations and a massive thank you to all our guests over the past few years.

We have reached a whopping £50,000 all raised from the £1.50 community donations which all goes towards local community environmental projects.

Here are just a few of the projects supported by your donations...
🍃 The Goggin nature reserve via Herefordshire Wildlife Trust
🌱 The Titley pool nature reserve via Herefordshire Wildlife Trust
💧 Wilder Lugg project via Radnorshire Wildlife Trust
💧 River Lugg Project 2026 via Herefordshire Wildlife Trust
🪴 Ledbury Primary School garden project with outdoor kitchen
🪏 Leintwardine school “Wilding” project
🌳 Leintwardine Wildlife Trust for Lesser spotted woodpecker and Leintwardine primary wilding projects
🦔 Funding small animal rescue training
🌳 Planting of over 700 trees and hedging plants at various locations
🌱 Planting of wildflower meadow at various locations (over 100k seeds)
🌷 Planting of native bulbs at various location (over 1000)
🦔 Creation of bird, bat, hedgehogs and other wildlife habitats at various locations..

We're looking for several driven and passionate people to join our Front of House team, alongside our already hard-working and dedicated team, as we expand our operations.
