The Tourist Centre at Market Square in Lerwick is on the move once again. The property is in the early stages of being redeveloped through an agreement between the owners and the Shetland Tourism Association.

A new exciting proposal to establish a community-owned business to run the shop and information centre, is now under consideration. A short survey has been published to gauge the level of support among Shetland residents. Please participate.

In passing asking for some help I nipped into the distillery today. Had a wee tour, simply splendid place and a must must visit whilst in Shetland.

Springtime is now here! The Distillery shop in Market Street, in the centre of Lerwick, is open Monday to Saturday. The Distillery itself is through the door at the back of the shop and currently still being assembled so official tours won’t start until it’s complete.
