🥩 COULD THIS BE ONE OF THE BEST SUNDAY ROASTS IN THE YORKSHIRE DALES?

There are Sunday lunches… and then there’s a proper Yorkshire Sunday carvery.

Hidden away at The Street Head Inn, between Leyburn and Hawes, you’ll find exactly that — generous cuts of roast meat, plenty of vegetables, proper gravy and those enormous Yorkshire puddings that deserve half the plate to themselves.

The Street Head Inn is a traditional Yorkshire Dales coaching inn dating back to 1730, surrounded by the beautiful countryside of Bishopdale and Wensleydale. Oak beams, a roaring fire, real ales and hearty home-cooked food — pretty much everything you want from a Dales pub on a Sunday.

And their Sunday Carvery is something they’re particularly proud of, featuring roast meat, a host of vegetables and Yorkshire puddings.

Worth knowing before you set off: Sunday dining is currently advertised as 12 noon–2pm, and booking ahead is a very good idea. Dogs are welcome in designated tables in the public bar rather than the dining room, with those tables available first come, first served.

So here’s the big Yorkshire Dales Sunday question…

Where serves the BEST Sunday roast in the Dales? And does Street Head make your top three?
