Both fixed and rolling road closures are in place between Helmsley and Leyburn today due to the The Tour Of Britain.
The race starts in Helmsley at 11am, taking some of the world's best riders from the North York Moors to the Yorkshire Dales, with an expected finish time of around 3.20pm in Leyburn.
Parking at the finish in Leyburn is available at:
- Opposite Tennants on the A684, what3words ///slope.mulls.pranced
- Wensleydale Show parking field on the A6108, what3words ///comfort.reporting.farmland
- Leyburn Rugby Club on the A684, what3words ///sport.fetch.engulfing
Disabled parking is available in the town centre car park, near the fire station, which can be accessed from the A6108 Moor Road, what3words ///tend.gobblers.feelers
Please park responsibly and do not park on the race route. Please also avoid parking on nearby residential streets.
Due to the closure of Middleham Bridge, anyone travelling to Leyburn will need to follow the diversion route:
- From the south towards Leyburn: follow the A6108, B6268 and A684 via Masham and Bedale
- From the north towards Leyburn: follow A1 and A684 via Bedale
