A former officers mess which can host various private functions with 5*AA guest accommodation available if required. We do not offer packages as we tailor the wedding to the individuals needs so please contact us if you would like costing or further informatio

We pride ourselves on the high standard of accommodation which we can offer with family, twin, double and ground floor rooms available with all being en suite and breakfast offered the following morning. There is level ground floor access throughout Hemswell Court with additional facilities for the disabled. Hemswell Court is proud to be a member of Select Lincolnshire and use local produce where available in our menus. Our talented team of chefs have created a variety of menus for your special day. We have a number of suggestions to consider or we can specially tailor a menu to meet your own individual needs and dietary requirements. From our extensive list of wines and champagnes we can assist you in selecting a choice of drinks to accompany your meal. Of course, there will also be an extensive range of traditional ales, lagers and spirits available from our bar throughout your day.

As 2025 draws to an end, this will be our final post on Facebook before closing the account at the end of January.

After the devastation of having to close the business and the feelings that we let so many people down, we feel it is time to finally let Hemswell Court go😢

We have so many happy and positive memories and have met some amazing people as staff, clients, suppliers and guests during our 25 years of service 😊

If only the ending had been different for us

We have been overwhelmed by the messages of support and the kind words and the dedication and hard work from all our staff past and present.

We wish you all the very best for 2026 🥂

Hemswell Court Limited has ceased to trade with immediate effect as at 23 October 2025.

Begbies Traynor (Central) LLP, licensed Insolvency Practitioners, have been instructed to assist with the formalities of a Creditors Voluntary Liquidation process.

All customers with events booked and suppliers to the Company should contact the proposed Liquidators in the first instance via email on [email protected] for further information.

The Directors of the Company wish to express their regret and sadness at the unfortunate circumstances leading up the closure of Hemswell Court following challenging trading conditions since the Covid 19 Pandemic, ill health and the recent and unexpected death of a member of the Board of Directors.

It is with deep sadness that we share the unexpected passing of Tim Downing, one of our directors, on Wednesday evening. This news has left us all shocked and extremely saddened.

Tim was a hardworking, supportive and charming man who will leave special memories for us all. He was known for organising memorable sporting events with the Leicester Tigers and for his unwavering commitment to our community. His absence will be deeply felt.

A man constantly “spinning plates”—his favourite saying—Tim balanced his professional life, charitable endeavours, and community support with remarkable energy and pride.

Our thoughts are with his wife, brother, family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Rest in peace, Tim. You will be greatly missed.
