Wednesday. Maybe the best day of the week.

Partly because it features one of the best deals in Uphill Lincoln, but mainly because of the amazing people we welcome through our doors.

When we brought Steak Night back, we never expected to serve 80+ people on a Wednesday evening. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who chooses to come out midweek and support our little hotel.

Our simple offer, £40 for steak for two, with all the trimmings and a bottle of wine, hopefully shows that good food at a fair price is well worth the trip out midweek.

And as the evenings get colder, we hope you’ll still think Steak Night is worth the trip out.

Our bike is out and ready for the Tour de Britain 🚲🌸

Tomorrow, Lincoln welcomes the Tour de Britain for what promises to be a brilliant day for the city, and a pretty special way to round off what has been a fantastic summer.

We’ve given our Visit Lincolnshire bike a little Tower makeover to show our support for all of the riders taking on the Lincoln stage.

Unfortunately, there was an attempted burglary at The Tower overnight.

The intruder managed to break in through and damage the patio door to our conservatory, but thankfully nothing was taken. We believe they were surprised to discover that we have members of our team on site 24 hours a day, which appears to have scared them away.

The incident has been reported to Lincolnshire Police. Should anyone have any information that may help, please contact us directly or Lincolnshire Police, quoting incident reference:

Some bittersweet news…

Our Marco will be leaving The Tower on 24th July, which means there’s just one more week to pop in and say your goodbyes.

Marco has been such a huge part of The Tower over the last few years. Always switched on, always smiling, and always bringing energy into the building.

We’re absolutely gutted to see him go, and he will leave a massive hole in The Tower team. We’re so grateful for everything he has brought to the place, and we’re sure everyone will join us in wishing him all the best on his next venture.

So, if you’re passing over the next week, please do pop in, wish him well, and help us give him the send-off he deserves.
