Over £33,000 raised for Crisis UK, an ongoing partnership with Willen Hospice Milton Keynes, plus Urban Bee-lievers, Medical Detection Dogs, Berks, Bucks and Oxon Wildlife Trust Group 🦋🐞🦡, local schools and independent fundraisers doing their own thing for causes close to home.

It’s National Burger Day, so we made a burger that’s properly ours.

7oz 100% British beef from our Buckinghamshire based butcher, aged cheddar, smoked streaky bacon, house pickled onion and gherkins, homemade burger sauce and toasted brioche bun.

Even the trimmings from our salt-aged steaks go into the mince, so nothing goes to waste and every bite is fully traceable.

79 butterflies. 13 species. One surprise moth. 🦋

Hugh from Butterfly Conservation and local recorder Lorraine surveyed our grounds last week, and the results were brilliant. Gatekeepers, Meadow Browns and Red Admirals led the count, with a Hummingbird Hawk Moth making a surprise guest entry 👀

It’s why we’re upping our wildflower planting and letting the nettles grow wild, more reasons for next year’s butterflies to stick around 🌿
