Can't fix em all, some stuff just isn't worth it.

I believe these belong to Billy Kinsley of Liverpool Express and The Merseys fame.

The MXR Flanger is notorious for it's reticon BBD failing. These chips are extremely rare, extremely expensive, and are still not guaranteed to work. I did my due diligence checked the signal reached the Reticon ship. Checked it was recieving click signal, but it wasn't outputting delayed signal sadly so wasn't an economically viable repair.

The Jen Motorphaser is a cool pedal. It originally had 3 footswitches: bypass depth and speed. The speed switch being unique in that I ramped the speed up.or down between the two settings. Much like a Lesley rotary speaker. Sadly it had been gutted in the past, and required a complete rebuild which was deemed too expensive by the customer.

Ah well, at least it was fun going over them.

A re-wired for this modified Colorsound Wah-Swell that came in alongside that 60s Fuzz Face.

The power socket had been added by the owner along with the colossal power filter cap. It had also been modded to just be a Wah with the swell function removed. I also believe the pot has been replaced. It looks like the ones Fender used way back when.

I rewired it to stock, added polarity protection, a smaller filter cap, and gave the pot a clean.

These are a bit weird as the wah function is backwards to accommodate for the volume swell function. Still doesn't stop it from being one of the best way sounds around. Seriously these old Colorsound wags are fantastic.

The big one!

I was foolish enough not to get pictures of the finished work. But an original late 60s silicon Dallas Arbiter Fuzz Face.

This had a range of issues. The wires had been crimped to the pots and weren't reliable which resulted in having to replace the volume pot. Luckily I had an ohmite pot of the right value in. I was able to swap the rear cover to maintain the original aesthetic.

It had been left open on a windowsill and the resistors had lost their colours. The owner requested I remove the resistors and rotate them 180° to show the colours that were left.
The input resistor has started to die so it was replaced with a NOS capacitor of the same make.

Wire dress was tidied up a little and it as on it's way.

As for sound?! It's a fuzz. I'm sorry. It sounds how you'd expect.

This one was a long time coming. I bought this Russian Electronica 12-011 like 8 years ago with a missing LFO board for the tremolo and phaser sections. I rebuilt the LFO board and got the tremolo working, I rewired it all, changed the 5pin din sockets to 1/4" jack sockets, changed much of it to true bypass.

Sadly at the time the 6 stage phaser didn't work and with the cost of JFETs I decided to put the project on hold.

After doing some reading up on using a CD4069 as the control element instead of JFETs I decided it was the time to finish it off. The board built and much debugging later the phaser works! It's a bit limited but it works and thats the good thing.

The rest of it is weird. The compressor absolutely sucks. The pot tapers aren't ideal, the tremolo is pretty standard but the wah is fantastic! Very synth like, never heard anything like it. With the tremolo and wah on the tremolo LFO oscillates the the wah making for a cool hidden effect.

Built this clone of a 4MS Noise Swash for a customer. I don't think I've ever built a pedal this small with this many controls before.

It's a weird little circuit, a pretty conventional distortion circuit with a bent comparator in the middle of it, and then a global feedback path and voltage starve on top of that. It makes a lot of noise on its own before you plug anything into it.

I opted for on-off-(on) toggle switches so you can momentarily switch them if the owner desires.

A full deep clean and set up on this very pretty Burns Marquee. The proprietary bridge system is interesting but not the best, and can't really be hard tailed without modding the instrument. That aside it's pretty good all things considered.

Upgrade to the bridge and tuners later down the line and you'd have a killer guitar.

Also there was a push/pull making is a 7 sound strat!

A wrong supply had popped an op-amp in this Holy Grail Neo reverb. The resistor in photo one is temporary to see what happened I put power to the pedal... It set on fire...

Op-amp and resistor replaced and the pedal works again!

Full rewire of this green knight audio rehoused Fulltone OCD for Alex of as it was cutting out on them live.

I also added polarity protection and power filtering, and replaced both switches.

The little PCB is a little boost with germanium clipping diodes, it doesn't get above unity.
