"A tour of Liverpool with David Bedford is more than a tour. It’s a bonafide history lesson on just about everyone’s favorite British subjects...John, Paul, George and Ringo. David is the author of four books on The Beatles with another one on the way that explains in detail the formative years of The Fab Four highlighted by tidbits of information that only insiders know...from those who knew the Fabs in their youth. Born and raised within a stone’s throw of Ringo’s boyhood home, David’s knowledge of his hometown and its famous offspring runs deep. Whether it’s an in-depth personal tour upon arrival into Liverpool or a virtual tour, David hits it out of the park every time. He delivers background information to those preparing to embark upon a trip to Liverpool, Hamburg or even London. And, for the casual observer sitting at home anywhere in the world, D

A black eye and protests over Pete Best's "dismissal" saw Ringo make his debut at the Cavern on 22nd August 1962. "The Beatles were being filmed at the Cavern by Granada Television," said Debbie. "The queue for the Cavern snaked down Mathew Street into Button Street. I waited for hours to get in and was lucky enough to be right at the back of the central tunnel in the Cavern. It was exceptionally hot that night, more so than normal. The lights from the Television cameras were unbearable but we were used to the heat in the Cavern. We barely had room to tap our feet to the music but it was one of the most exhilarating and exciting performances by The Beatles as they blasted out their rendition of 'Some Other Guy.'

This first-hand account of Debbie's teen years frequenting and eventually helping to run the original Cavern Club is the authentic inside story of the Beatles launch pad.
