We pride ourselves on providing ‘excellent hospitality for the adventurous’, so this morning it was great that all of our guests were off out exploring our glorious local area.

Our guests, from the UK, Ireland and the USA were being guided by different local instructors and as always, it was great to see them at Plas Coch.

Our Map Room provides an ideal space to meet with instructors and plan the day ahead.

We’re pleased to have fudge from Georgio's Llanberis ( the ice cream shop) on our Reception table this weekend. Have a try…it is really tasty.

If you like it, why not pop along to the shop to see all the wonderful fudge, ice cream and cakes they have. You won’t be disappointed.

We’re looking forward to attending this event and sharing what we are doing to reduce the use of single-use plastics at Plas Coch.

To our guests, thank you for your support and appreciation of what we are doing. We have received a positive response to measures such as providing fresh milk in jugs, rather than UHT milk in sachets. Just one of the ways we are helping Eryri become plastic- free.

We are very pleased to have a new delivery of handmade soap made locally by The Soap Mine and available to buy at Plas Coch.

This is the same soap we provide in all of our en-suite guest bathrooms. The soap, made by traditional methods in Beddgelert, is vegan- friendly, palm-free and is made using skin-loving plant based oils and butters. Handmade soap is better for your skin and for the environment.

Since we started selling the soap, it has proved extremely popular, particularly as a gift to take home from your stay in North Wales.

Even if you are not staying with us, you’re welcome to pop in if you fancy buying some soap.

Ready for an ice cream?

New bus time table comes into place tomorrow, 1st April. The Sherpa S1 bus is the best way to get to Pen-y-Pass and the start of the Pyg and Miners tracks up Yr Wyddfa.

From Saturday onwards there will be an increase in bus services around Yr Wyddfa, making it easier than ever to explore the National Park. Lace up your boots and get ready for an unforgettable adventure! 🏔️🚌

Whilst staying with us, if you fancy a packed lunch for your day out, we have it covered. We call it, ‘Fuel for your Mounatin Day’.

As well as freshly made sandwiches we always include homemade cakes…today it’s a choice of Bara Brith or Welshcakes. We provide water in reusable bottles and a flask of a hot drink of your choice. We provide composting bags for guests to bring back all their fruit waste.
