We knew we weren’t going to be everybody’s yes, that’s why we intentionally said no.

It’s never easy to say no, but we not only wanted to protect the land and its surroundings, but also the experience of being here:
 
🌿 No chemical hot tub. Because we love our river and its wildlife too much. Instead, you’ll find a sunken outdoor bath with sweeping meadow views. No electric pump humming in your ear, just the bees, fresh water, pure eco-friendly stillness, and organic bubbles.
 
🌿 No dogs. Out of respect for our neighbouring working farms, and to ensure the cabin remains completely allergen-free. Nothing but crisp, pure white linens and fresh air.
 
🌿 No kids. The cabin was built as an adults-only sanctuary. An intimate, private space designed for proper, uninterrupted quiet and slow, peaceful mornings to simply just be.
 
🌿 No Wi-Fi. No TV. Just a non-toxic space to finally switch off.

For many of us, Sir David Attenborough is the reason we look a little closer and never stop asking questions about the world. He doesn’t just film nature, he gives it a voice… and wow, what a voice, and what a legend!
 
He’s taught us that every inch of this wild space, from the coast to our back door, is an inch worth protecting.
 
There really is only one David Attenborough. He reminds us that we don’t own the wild, we’re just lucky enough to share it for a while.

Two nights. Ten-day feeling. 🌿

I am still pinching myself! We’ve had to keep this secret through the seasons, but the postman finally arrived with our May issue of .

There is something so surreal about seeing our cabin across a two-page spread; it’s the ultimate “meadow-sweet” moment!

We’ve been keeping this exciting news under wraps since visited last August. She wrote the most beautiful piece, capturing the exact “proper reset” Erwain Escapes was created for.

What resonated most was how just forty-eight hours here felt like a ten-day holiday; that’s the “real tonic” of a digital detox!

It highlights everything that makes us different. Our deliberate lack of Wi-Fi and TV, the private, secluded wildflower meadow, and the luxury of just being.

Whether it’s a morning coffee on the deck gazing out across the meadow onto the hillside, a soak to wash away stresses in the outdoor bath, or an afternoon nap tucked into the hammock by the stream, Louise managed to bottle the very feeling of being here.

We’re so proud to have our little idyll featured, showing the world what it means to truly slow down and take time to live well.
