🍂 Autumn escapes at Mid Wales Holidays 🐾

There’s something rather lovely about Mid Wales at this time of year.

The trees are turning beautiful shades of gold and orange, the mornings are getting a little chillier and the countryside is beginning to slow down.

It’s the perfect time to escape for a few days with the dogs, explore somewhere new and enjoy coming back to a warm, cosy cottage at the end of the day.

🐾 What a weekend at Mid Wales Holidays!

We had a fantastic turnout for our charity working test here at Coedygaer Fawr, with 54 dogs competing across the different classes.

A huge congratulations to all our winners and everyone who took part and an extra proud moment for me seeing three dogs bred here from Grace amongst the awards. ❤️

Most importantly, we raised an amazing £1,620 for YoungMinds. Thank you to our judges, helpers, competitors and everyone who donated and helped make the day such a success.

It was also rather lovely seeing the whole venue buzzing with dogs and people, exactly what we created it for.

🐾 Another familiar face back at Mid Wales Holidays

It was lovely to welcome Kathryn from Trailing K9s back again last week, this time hiring the whole venue for one of her instructor courses.

This is exactly the sort of thing our exclusive venue hire works so well for everyone can stay together on site, use Ysgubor for teaching and downtime, and have the grounds available for practical sessions throughout the day.

Kathryn and her groups have been coming here for several years now, and it’s always lovely to have them back. Look forward to seeing you again in November for the 2nd week.

🍂 This is the bit of autumn I love.

The fields have been cut, the mornings are getting cooler and the trees around the cottages are just starting to change.

After such a busy summer, everything begins to feel a little quieter here.
And you absolutely don’t need to be coming for dog training or an event to stay with us.

Our cottages can be booked individually, so if you fancy a few days in Mid Wales with long dog walks, cosy evenings and nowhere you particularly need to be, have a look at our autumn availability.

🐾 A busy weekend ahead at Mid Wales Holidays…

This Sunday our grounds will be taken over for a working test, and I always love seeing the place being used for events like this.

With 15 acres of fields, woodland, ponds, cover crop and plenty of different terrain, we’ve gradually developed the grounds to give us lots of options for training and events and it’s lovely seeing all that work put to good use.

It’s also one of the reasons exclusive venue hire has become such a big part of Mid Wales Holidays.

Dog trainers, clubs and groups can hire the whole place, giving you the grounds, accommodation and Ysgubor all together and, most importantly, the freedom to run your event your way.

I’ll share some photos from Sunday so you can see the place in action. 🐾
