Good evening everyone. Just a quick update regarding The Bell. Tomorrow is the last day of the six nations and we will be showing the England France game on our big screen so come along and have some fun, a drink and there will be some curry and a fish dish available too, all happening in the bar opening from 19.30, game starts at 20.10.
We are also going to be open on Sunday from 12.00 noon until close. This will be my last day trading at The Bell. I make way for a new owner who, will be in touch, I'm sure, in the not too distant future.
Thank you to all who supported me regularly, the food was always well recieved except for a few who not as happy as others but, that's life. The beer was supported, also the rooms etc but, at the end of the day things sometimes don't go according to plan. I wish the new owner the best of luck for his new venture. As for me, I will just slowly into the background, for now !

Very best wishes everyone

Thank you to everyone who came along to The Bell yesterday evening to cheer the tractors on, it was a very pleasant and lively evening and it was so nice to see that lots of you stayed after the tractors were long gone to spend time in the bar, young and old alike.
I'm sure you'll all agree that a great time was had by and, credit to the tractor drivers (some their very first time) gave us a fantastic display as they went past The Bell with their horns blaring and music playing as they made their way around the rest of the circuit. From where we are we could see them on their final run too so we had a great view almost all evening.

Thank you all

Best wishes

Steve

OK, here we go, we might be a little down but we are far from out yet. Sunday is the tractor run, we had a great time last year welcoming people into the bar at The Bell so, this year is no different. We look forward to seeing as many of you as we can fit in, come along and see the run from the car park, or inside the bar, or really from anywhere you think is fit to view it from. 5.15 is the approximate time its due to go by here so we will look to be open from 4.30pm onwards, that's if we close from the afternoon opening. All are welcome, we may not have exactly the drink you want but, we will try our best to find you something.

Look forward to seeing you all from 4.30pm

Best wishes

Steve

Good evening everyone. My haven't the rumours been flying eh? From what I have been told some people have taken it as "open season on Steve" but, do you know what, I can't help the ones who don't know me, don't know anything about me, have never been in The Bell whilst I have been here and, probably don't even know where The Bell is.
Why let the truth get in the way of a good story eh !

Anyway. yes, things are pretty grim but, although I cannot serve food I will be open on the followings days/times to serve drinks and have a bit of lively conversation with some of my more loyal friends and, maybe a staff member or two, who knows. The opening hours are as follows;

Saturday 8.00pm to 11.00pm
Sunday 12,00 noon to 3.30pm
Monday CLOSED
Tuesday 7.00 to 9.00pm
Wednesday 7.00 to 11.00pm
Christmas day 12.00 noon to 2.30pm
Boxing day 12.00 noon to 2.30pm and 7.30 to 10.00pm
Saturday 7.30pm to 11.00pm

All subject to change if not busy or we run out of things to drink

Please can I ask for people to not reply with any negative comments, I think that there have been plenty for now. You know what they say about Yorkshire folk?

Yorkshire born and Yorkshire bred
Thick in arm and thick in head

the comments won't bother me one bit but may offend others

Merry Christmas everyone

Steve and team xx
