Llandrindod Wells Foodbank Llandrindod Wells Foodbank is part of a network of foodbanks, giving out emergency food. We are based at Oasis, Spa Road, Llandrindod Wells, LD1 5ER.

(In the former nightclub behind the Commodore Hotel) Llandrindod Wells foodbank provides emergency food for people in crisis. We are open on Tuesdays and Fridays from 10:30am -1pm and on Wednesday from 12:30 - 2:30 for collection and occasional delivery of parcels subject to recipient's circumstances. Food given out by the foodbank is donated. We always require donations and currently receive from schools, churches, businesses, individuals and through supermarket collections. Individuals in need of food are referred by professionals from statutory and voluntary organisations such as support workers, health visitors, social workers, Citizens Advice Bureau staff, welfare officers, the police and probation officers. A foodbank voucher is issued on-line which then gives the person/family three days supply of emergency food. Under normal circumstances, whilst food is being packed our volunteers will sit and chat with clients over a cup of tea or coffee. This enables us to hear people's stories and perhaps signpost to agencies who can offer additional help and begin to resolve any underlying difficulties. We are part of the Trussell Trust foodbank network, which works in partnership with local churches and organisations to bring foodbanks to communities across the UK. We are in need of volunteers at the moment, both in the Warehouse and as signposting and listening volunteers. A huge thank you to Rob's Removals, Builth Wells for giving up his time to help collect a food delivery from our local supermarket and transport it to the Foodbank. We are also incredibly grateful to our amazing team of volunteers who helped unload, sort, and stock everything ready for distribution.
Unfortunately, we are currently having to purchase a significant amount of food to meet rising demand, while donations have been falling. If you are able to help, we are particularly in need of:

🥫 Tinned fruit and vegetables
🍝 Pasta
🥣 Soup
🥛 Long-life milk
🍊 Long-life orange juice
☕ Tea bags and coffee

We know it's easy to forget when you're doing your weekly shop, but every item donated makes a real difference to local people facing hardship.

If donating food isn't convenient, a one-off donation or a monthly direct debit of just £5 can go a long way towards helping us keep our shelves stocked and support those who need us most.
