Escape, Relax and Unwind in the peace and nature of the Welsh Borders over the August Bank Holiday at our secluded Drovers Retreat Holiday Cottage.

Usually Bank Holidays are booked quickly, but this year we have a 2-night unbooked gap of Monday 31st August + Tuesday 1st September. We normally have a limit of a 3-night minimum, but this year we are offering a special 2 night break for £328.

In 4-star comfort, the cottage can cater for up to 4 people.

There are walks - long or short - from the door, you can relax in our spectacular Games Barn, and often our resident Tawny Owl or Buzzard can be heard or seen.

Escape to the hills! Drovers Retreat holiday cottage is set in woodland in Welsh Border country, at 1,150 feet altitude. Enjoy 4* comfort in our cool stone cottage, for up to four people. Explore shady walks in our woodland, with the perfume of Meadow Sweet in the air, and the resident buzzard calling overhead. Then, in the evening enjoy games of snooker, table football or darts in the adjacent games barn, or just sit outside with your favourite drink and wallow in the peace and quiet of the trees (see video). Drovers Retreat holiday cottage in the Welsh Borders is surrounded by a designated Local Wildlife Site, mostly of woodland. I recorded 9 bird species in just 2 minutes on my Merlin Bird Song app today - Blackbird, Robin, Chiffchaf, Chaffinch, Goldcrest, Blue Tit, Siskin, Song Thrust and Greater Spotted Woodpecker.
