Recently, we added three very special boys to our smallholding in Mid Wales.

🦙 Theo - Confident, cheeky and sometimes a little pushy. He likes to be first in line when food is involved.

🦙 Nova - Not quite as brave, but incredibly curious. He always wants to know what's going on.

🦙 Rocket - The underdog of the group. He was the smallest cria and spent part of his early life with his leg in a splint. He's overcome a few challenges already and still worries about absolutely everything.

They arrived six weeks ago and we've kept our new additions fairly quiet while we got to know them ourselves.

We've got a much better idea of their personalities now and thought it was time to introduce them properly.

We're taking everything at their pace. Alpacas are naturally shy and reserved animals, so we're letting them lead the way and build their confidence in their own time.

Our hope is that one day we'll be able to offer an alpaca experience for guests staying at Coety Bach.

In the meantime, we'd love to know what you think of our three boys.

Any guests staying with us are more than welcome to come and say hello. 🦙

Bank holiday weekends are made for slow mornings, hot tubs and sunrise views

Honestly, we’d happily sit here for hours with a coffee just listening to the birds and watching the light change across the hills That’s exactly why we love Mid Wales so much.

Give us this over a busy city break any day.

But what about you?

Are you a countryside cabin or city break kinda person?

Unpopular opinion: this beats a holiday abroad every time.

No airport queues. No rushing around. Just peaceful views, fresh air and the dog by your side 🌿🐾

Wood-fired hot tub, walks straight from the door and plenty of space to properly switch off for a few days 🤎

🥾 Wednesday Walks for weekend inspiration 💙

Bluebell season near Shaky Bridge is looking beautiful right now.

This is a lovely walk whatever the time of year, but when the bluebells are out it gives the whole woodland an extra special feel.

Woodland paths, the sound of the river nearby and carpets of native Welsh bluebells that only appear for a few short weeks each spring.

And if you're booked into Coety Bach in the next few weeks, it's just a few minutes from the cabin!

We’ve added the what3words location on the final slide so you can find it easily.

Save this for your next spring walk in Mid Wales 🌿

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 Where exactly are we? 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

We’re tucked away in Mid Wales, just outside the little village of Penybont, near Llandrindod Wells.

Right in the heart of the Ithon Valley, surrounded by rolling hills, sheep-filled fields and beautiful landscape.

We’re about half an hour from the Elan Valley, with endless walks, dams and scenic drives, and perfectly placed for exploring the Cambrian Mountains or simply switching off and staying put.

Remote enough to feel like a proper escape, but still within easy reach of local pubs, shops and a good coffee when you fancy it.

Have you visited Mid Wales before, or would this be your first time?
