There's a particular pleasure in a bad weather day spent well. Settle into the lounge with a coffee or something stronger, and watch the sea from the warm side of the window. Llandudno is at its most striking when the weather turns.

Boots on. The best of Llandudno starts at our front door.

One of the joys of staying at The Belmont is how little effort it takes to find yourself somewhere spectacular. Step out onto North Parade and you're already halfway there.

🥾 The Great Orme Summit - Head up through Happy Valley and climb to 679ft. On a clear day you'll pick out Anglesey, the Isle of Man and the peaks of Eryri. Roughly an hour up, and worth every step.

🌊 Marine Drive - Four miles of gentle coastal path curling right around the Orme's edge, with the sea below you the whole way. No climbing required — just big views and salt air.

🐐 The Little Orme - Quieter than its big sister, brilliant for spotting seabirds and the odd Kashmiri goat. A short, sharp climb with a proper reward at the top.

🏰 The Conwy Estuary - Follow the coast west to Deganwy and on towards Conwy, with the castle rising up ahead of you. Time it right and stroll back across as the light drops.

🏖️ West Shore at sunset - Barely a walk at all, more of an amble. But the sunsets over Anglesey take some beating.

And when your legs have had enough? The terrace is waiting, the bar's open, and the sea's still right there in front of you.
