The Longest Yarn – Events Calendar Throughout October 2024 🧶

📍 Llandudno, North Wales
Llandudno is stepping back into the 1940s with The Longest Yarn! This month-long event pays tribute to the D-Day landings and the incredible war effort of the time. Through hand-crafted tributes, concerts, and talks, we celebrate the heroes of the past and the crafters who bring history to life.

🧶 The journey begins with the arrival of the full-sized Knitted Churchill Tank at Victoria Shopping Centre, this will be followed by the main attraction, The Longest Yarn which is open to the public on the 2nd of October. Come and see this stunning creation and more throughout October!

30 Sept – Ripon Knitted Tank arrives at Victoria Shopping Centre (FREE to view).

2 Oct – The Longest Yarn Exhibition Opens at Holy Trinity Church

Gown of Poppies arrives at Clare’s Department Store (FREE to view).

8 Oct – Swing Band Concert at Trinity Church, 7:15 PM
