The piglets have arrived! 😍

So cute - here they are exploring their first morning in the farm, in the beautiful warm sunshine.

Glamping children, Quinn, Elin and Luca have named them for us: Professor Porkington (Porky for short) and Baroness Bacon! And their straw bale home is Fort Chops!

Brilliant.

There's been quite a kerfuffle this week about the new guidance on single-sex spaces coming into effect in England and Wales.

We thought it was a good time to remind you that we warmly welcome absolutely everyone to the farm - whatever your story, whatever your background and however you describe yourself.

We look forward to meeting you, to chatting with you, and to finding out about you.

We have met so many wonderful people over the last five years since we opened Ty Uchaf Farm Glamping North Wales Borders.

Some of you have shared your stories with us.

Some of you have shared your food.

Some have just shared the views and the peace and quiet here.

We welcome you all.

Everyone we have met here has enriched our lives in some way, and increased our understanding of what it is to be a human bean on this amazing planet, hurtling through the cosmos.

From the first cheery wave to the last lingering farewell, we try to greet you as a guest, and hope you leave feeling like a friend.

It's probably the reason why every single review a guest has ever left us, anywhere, ever, has been 5* or 10/10.

That and the fact we will bend over backwards to make sure you have a great time on the farm. Oh, and the chickens, sheep, lambs and other animals are a bit of hit too. Perhaps it's them that people like...!

*******The Small Print*******

Most of our toilets are ensuite and inside your accommodation. Our other toilet is unisex.

Far more important to us than what the sign on the door says, is the fact that they are all brilliant eco-friendly compost toilets that mean we don't flush lovely Welsh mains water down the toilet!

If you chat to us, we'll happily tell you about all of the things we do to make sustainable eco-tourism a reality here on the farm - and how we've reduced the carbon-footprint of a stay here to just 350g of CO2.

That's the kind of important issue we think it's worth making a kerfuffle about.

Ty Uchaf Farm Glamping is set in beautiful countryside on Hope Mountain, yet just ten minutes from Wrecsam.

If you've stayed with us before, or have read any of our social media, you will know we love to showcase how much this area has to offer. It's literally why we started the glamping site - to share with others what we get to live every day.

I wasn't lucky enough to be born here, but I was lucky enough to blow in here on the back of a job, make it my home, raise my family here, start a business, serve my community, and nurture the landscape.

I will forever be proud to call Wrecsam my home.

It is a town (city now!) and an area of North East Wales that gets under your skin and in your blood.

Cynefin is a brilliant word yn Gymraeg/in Welsh that speaks of your complete sense of belonging to a place, or landscape. A sense of being "of" a place, not simply living there.

Well, in Wrecsam we are going full steam ahead with a bid for UK City of Culture in 2029, having made the final shortlist for 2025.
