We've had some lovely families and couples making some amazing memories this week.

They say you should never mix business and politics.

Well, we've made a pretty successful business out of welcoming people here, whatever their story. And so we feel this post is totally in line with the fundamental values of our business and the way we try to live friendly and inclusive lives...

On May 7th, we have a real choice in Wales for the new Senedd.

We can choose the politics of hate, division and bigotry, and always blaming someone else for the problems we see. The politics of impotent flag-waving, whilst ignoring those less fortunate or different to ourselves. The politics of harking back to some imaginary golden age that never existed.

Or we can choose the politics of hope. Of working together on our problems. Of fairness and community. The politics of raising our ambitions and expectations, not our anger.

At Ty Uchaf, we choose hope.

Because we're in this together, and this isn't as good as it gets.

Top travel tip...!

We love AirBnB, Booking.com, PitchUp, etc etc. They increase our reach, and provide good tools for travellers.

But... There is a big but.

They either cost more for you to book with them (sometimes almost 20% "guest fees" are added), or they take a a big commission away from the small businesses you are staying with.

So, by all means use them if it suits you. But if you are happy to book direct, always search online to see if the property has its own website.

I guarantee they will love you even more for booking direct.

It means they had fun and made memories - which is why we do this.

Nathan and his sister enjoyed walks, collecting eggs and feeding the chickens and sheep.
