π Another Safe Place Added in Llangollen (Ty Canol Caravan Park) π
A huge thank you to Ty Canol Caravan Park for signing up to the Safe Place Scheme and helping to make our community more welcoming, inclusive and supportive for everyone.
When I met with Josh, he explained why he felt it was important for Ty Canol to become part of the scheme. Just recently, a lady living with dementia became lost and ended up walking to the area, staff were able to help her get safely back into town.
Ty Canol is also a popular route for walkers heading up into the hills, with many visitors and residents passing through the area each day. Having a Safe Place available here provides an extra layer of reassurance for anyone who may become lost, confused, vulnerable, unwell, or simply need assistance.
Safe Places are locations where people can go for help and support. Staff can provide reassurance and help someone contact a family member, friend, carer, or emergency service if required.
The scheme is particularly helpful for people living with dementia, learning disabilities, autism, mental health conditions, and anyone who may need a little extra support when out and about.
π± You can find registered Safe Places across the UK by downloading the Safe Places National Network app from your app store.
Thank you again to Josh and everyone at Ty Canol Caravan Park for supporting this fantastic initiative and helping to make Llangollen a safer and more inclusive community for all.
