A lovely Guest Feedback.
On arrival, the reception we received from Lisa was lovely; and more like us being a family member, than a paying guest. Everything was already arranged for us, with the suite ready; and even the dietary requirements for my wife were taken care of.
Our suite was excellent, a lovely bed, clean and tidy; with a veranda overlooking the river Dee. The on suite was immaculately clean, with clean soft towels provided; along with soap; and shower gel. As the suite overlooked the River Dee, one could "Chill" on the veranda; listening to the rush of the water cascading over the rapids.
The dining room overlooks the River Dee, with many tables of different sizes available ; which can accommodate large groups, if required. The waitress Sophie, was lovely; and always had a smile on her face. Nothing was too much trouble for her to attend to, quickly and efficiently; and our food orders were quickly delivered.
The presentation and quality of the food provided was excellent, and the chef always accommodated my wifes' requests for some dish changes. I would add that, as it was my Birthday; the Chef served my apple crumble and custard with a lit candle in the mix.
(A lovely touch).
Parking is a little restrictive, at peek times; but there is additional parking above the canal level.
Using the canal pathway, Llangollen is about 2.2Km from the Hotel; and is a lovely casual walk for those who like to take in the calm atmosphere while listen to the bird orchestra keeping you company.
The Horse Shoe falls is about o.4Km from the Hotel, past the sluice gate building, which controls the rate of water from the river in to the canal.
To summarise.
We have stayed in this Hotel many times, starting with our Honeymoon; in May 1967. Every time we have revisited the Chain Bridge, it has been a magical experience for me and my wife; and we look forward to our next stay, very much in deed.
