Congratulations to our staff who got there A level results today! Very proud of all of you continuing on your different journeys in September! Steffan & Abby are off to University, Amy is off on her travels around the world, Emily is continuing a new course at college & Steven is taking a year out to work but is off to uni next year! Some of tonight's specials consist of, Roasted red snapper fillet with a roasted langoustine sauce & crushed hazelnuts or the popular favourite, the four hour braised beef cheek with duck pakoras & redcurrant reduction, both served with a choice of buttered vegetables or salad and a choice of buttered new potatoes, creamy mash or yummy chips. Last Thursday, one of our very hard working members of staff graduated from Cardiff University with a 2:1. Those of you who know our barmaid/waitress/housekeeper, Sioned or have ever met her will know she's a very determined, hard working girl who deserved this above most and will take on anything she is challenged with. The Hand at Llanarmon welcomed some very special guests yesterday evening for dinner, who were raising money for Air Ambulance Wales. S4C also visited the village to film the walkers journey of Cerddwn Ymlaen - which means ‘Walk On’. The Cerddwn Ymlaen Journy is a 200 mile walk across Wales over eight days. The Hand was their second stop & their 50 mile mark! The walkers consisted of many Welsh celebrities including Robin McBryde - former Wales rugby player, Lucy Jones - past xfactor star, Iolo Williams - nature observer and television presenter and many more friendly faces!! Well done to all the Cerddwn Ymlaen participants, making Wales very proud! Da Iwan pawb! Cerddwn Ymlaen
