The Hand at Llanarmon

The Hand at Llanarmon A TRUE COUNTRY EXPERIENCE - meet the locals in a country inn with a MODERN TWIST. Good Food- tasty, inventive cuisine, good value - and fabulous breakfasts
(621)

The Hand at Llanarmon is an ancient hostelry with all the attributes you’d expect – bags of character, a cosy, relaxing ambience and a warm welcome from your hosts, Jonathan and Jackie Greatorex. As soon as you arrive you feel the weight of the world dissolving as the surroundings work their magic. All the classic ingredients are here – old beams, roaring fireplaces, a casual mix-and-match of pine

and oak furniture, real ale and good food. The latter is seriously good. Thanks to the talents of Head Chef Grant Mulholland and his team, The Hand is renowned for award-winning food; an inventive marriage of country fare and sophisticated metropolitan cuisine.

A little snapshot from today that we’re rather proud of.

31% of The Hand has been self-powered today - generated right here on site from our own solar. In a business like ours, running kitchens, hot water, laundry and everything in between, that’s not a small number.

It means nearly a third of everything we’ve used today hasn’t come from the grid at all, but straight from the roof above us.

We’re not pretending we’re fully there yet - far from it - but step by step we’re reducing our reliance and doing things in a way that sits more comfortably with the landscape we’re lucky enough to be part of.

Quiet progress, but meaningful.

Introducing our boldest release yet…

The Hand at Llanarmon proudly presents our limited edition April Collection of Craft Gins.

Because normal is overrated.

🍳 Full Welsh Breakfast Gin
Infused with bacon, black pudding, baked beans and a whisper of brown sauce. Best served with a fried egg garnish (optional, but brave).

🧅 Pickled Onion Martini Gin
Sharp, unapologetic, and guaranteed to clear a room faster than last orders.

🌲 Wet Labrador & Woodland Gin
Notes of damp dog, moss, and questionable life choices after a long countryside walk.

🔥 Bonfire Night Gin
Smoky, ashy, with hints of burnt marshmallow and regret.

🧄 Garlic Bread & Herbs Gin
Perfect for keeping both vampires and dinner guests at bay.

🥔 Crisp Sandwich Gin
Salt & vinegar top notes, white bread finish. A true British classic.

🍺 Last Night’s Pint Glass Gin
A complex blend of stale lager, lime wedge, and poor decisions.
