The Clywedog Reservoir, Elan Valley and Hafren Forest is within a short drive away and the sandy beach resorts of Borth and Aberdovey can be easily reached within an hour, via a breath-taking mountain route which crosses an area of outstanding natural beauty. Other tourist attractions such as Powis Castle, Devil Bridge Falls, Silver Mountain Experience, Red Kite Feeding Centre, King Arthur’s Labyrinth and the Corris Railway are also within an hour’s drive. The main shopping areas are found in Newtown, Aberystwyth and Welshpool though the majority of the needs can be met by the independent shops in Llanidloes which supply quality local produce.
