✨ £1122.29 Raised for the Welsh Air Ambulance ✨

We’d like to say the biggest and most grateful thank you to everyone that joined us yesterday for our Annual Charity BBQ! Together with Red Kite, we raised a phenomenal £1122.29 🤩

It was a truly lovely afternoon, and we were so lucky with the weather, it may have got a bit chilly towards the end, but at least the rain held off until the very last minute 😁

The raffle was a resounding success, and a special shout out to all local businesses who supported us with raffle prizes, and in no particular order: St Idloes Golf Club, Minerva Arts Centre, The Little Welsh Bakery, Gigrin Farm, The Red Kite Feeding Centre, Elan Valley, White Flamingo, Rae Caravan Parts, Hafren Furnishers, Welsh Mountain Cider

Massive congratulations to our top prize winners too! Huw & Karen, and Adam & Juliet - who also won our “Guess the Gravy Bones” competition with the suspiciously accurate guess of 293 gravy bones! 🐾

Lastly, a big thank you to the incredible Sioned May, who once again provided us with the most beautiful live singing. It’s so great having you back with us year on year, and you are a truly talented young woman ❤️

🔨 Making Improvements 🔨

We recently had requests from owners about installing hand rails on the steps to access their holiday homes. So this week Mike and Richard have been hard at work measuring, cutting, installing and overall making holiday homes more accessible to those that need it ❤️

📍 Local Activities - St Idloes Golf Club 📍

St. Idloes Golf Club was founded in 1897 on its present site. Back in 1897 the grounds that the golf course is located upon now, was once the local race course and cricket practice grounds. During St. Idloes Golf Clubs history the club temporarily moved nearer to the town of Llanidloes, however, returned to Penrhallt in 1947.
The club has always drawn the majority of its membership from local people to the area and welcomes all ages & abilities and will endeavour to accommodate you wherever possible.

We are looking to ensure that future generations enjoy our facilities and the course itself, and are also looking to become more environmentally friendly and sustainable and have recently installed a wetland wildlife habitat! 🦋
We believe that we are a friendly rural golf club, located a short distance from the town of Llanidloes. Llanidloes happens to be the first town located along the River Severn from its source, a vibrant town where the majority of people tend to know everyone. St Idloes Golf Course can be reached via the town of Llanidloes by foot, through Penrhallt woods, however, we recommend that if you want to play golf after your walk up through the woods that you drive, it's a lung burner with a golf bag on your back.
We hope you enjoy, what we believe to be, a delightful 9 hole course situated in the heart of Wales with panoramic views of the surrounding area, including Plynlimon and the Llandinam hills.

Pricing:
⛳️ 9 holes: £15.00pp
⛳️ 18 holes: £25.00pp

Our driving range tokens can be purchased at £2.00 per token and would provide approx. 30 balls.

We do have buggies available but these would need to be booked in advance.

We might be a day late…but we’d still like to wish everyone an absolutely wonderful New Year! We hope that 2026 brings all you could wish for, and that you all have a year full of love, happiness, and lots of holidays! 😁

And we’d just like to say a massive thank you to everyone that joined us for our New Years Eve celebration, it was a truly great evening, and together with Red Kite Touring Park we raised a fantastic £521.31! So thank you all for joining us, and if you have any photos, we’d love to see them! 😍

🔥 Bonfire Night 2025 🔥

We would like to say an absolutely massive thank you to everyone that joined us for our annual charity Bonfire Night event!

We couldn’t have asked for better weather, the atmosphere was fantastic, and together with Red Kite Touring Park we raised a truly staggering £658.29 for Dementia Research UK! 🤯

So thank you from the very bottom of our hearts to all of you that gave so incredibly generously; we’re completely overwhelmed ❤️
