After a lot of thought and with heavy hearts, we have made the difficult decision not to open for the 2026 season.
Due to our working schedules and childcare situation this year, we simply won't have the time to devote to the campsite and run it to the standard you all deserve.

We believe in quiet, peaceful, well-maintained camping, and we would hate to offer anything less.

This is very much a temporary break, not a goodbye. We are already hoping to be back and ready to welcome you all again in 2027.

To anyone who had already booked with us, please check your emails as we have been in touch regarding a full refund. We are so sorry for the disappointment and thank you, as always, for your incredible support.

We're lucky to have a fantastic village shop just a short stroll away. Dafarn Newydd, Village Stores & Takeaway is your go-to for morning coffee, freshly made sandwiches, local supplies, and all the essentials!

It's these friendly local touches that make a stay in Mid-Wales so special.

Your walk to the lake starts here. 🥾

One of the best things about our location? A beautiful walking path leads directly from the campsite to the shores of Lake Vyrnwy and its iconic dam. This route is part of the famous Glyndŵr's Way National Trail.

It's the perfect stroll for morning air, afternoon wildlife, or an evening panorama. We love being your gateway to these moments.

The dam is flowing over quite spectacularly so the campsite is an extension of the river!
Here's hoping for a dry summer!!

And that’s a wrap on an incredible 2025 season here at Lake Vyrnwy Campsite! 🏕️

As the autumn leaves fall, our gates are now officially closed for the winter. We want to send a huge, heartfelt thank you to every single guest who stayed with us this year. Your laughter around the campfires and your adventurous spirits made it a season to remember.

But while the site is quiet, we’re already buzzing with ideas for 2025! 🎉 We’re planning some exciting new additions and improvements to make your next stay even better.

And we need your help! What would you love to see next season?
