DOLAUCOTHI UPDATE!
As many of you know by now, my 5 year lease at the Dolaucothi Arms expires on the 4th of March 23 and I have made the very difficult decision not to renew for another 5 years. It will be closed throughout March for structural repairs to be made by The National Trust and I was hoping that I would be posting some good news about it re-opening under new tenants in April,
as hoped. Unfortunately, it is with great sadness that I have to announce that at this moment in time no-one has applied, despite some interest, and so unless someone comes forward by the deadline of 27th of February the contents of the pub will have to be sold.
If this is the case there will be an auction open to the public on Saturday the 4th of March with viewing at 12pm, auction to start at 1pm. There will be a wide range of items ranging from bar and restaurant furniture, including genuine antiques (which will have reserved prices), bedroom furniture, beds, bedding, mirrors, unusual artifacts, art work, china, glasses, PAT tested electrical goods, log burning stoves, kitchen appliances and garden furniture.
Please see below a few examples:
If you have interest in any specific items, please email me [email protected]
Meanwhile the last events before closing are our great quiz and pizza evening this coming Thursday the 23rd, (please book your place) and my farewell party on Saturday the 25th in the evening. There will be a free buffet and music playlist compiled over the last month by the local community. Everyone is invited so hope to see you here for some fun.
The last Sunday Roast will be on the 26th from 12-3pm followed by our usual Sunday evening chill out evening.
