Rich tartan curtains framing the woodland views, a unique reclaimed wood coffee table at the centre, and warm, atmospheric lighting throughout.

The renovation of Pine Marten Lodge has been a true labour of love, inside and out. Following the extension of the outdoor deck, attention turned to the interiors to elevate every detail. The result is a refined blend of classic Scottish warmth, tactile textures, and relaxed luxury designed for long, restful evenings in complete seclusion.

Step inside, dim the lights, and sink into perfect highland relaxation. 🌲✨

On World Food Day, Bradan Lodges is celebrating the beauty of local food systems done simply and sustainably.

Across Argyll and Western Scotland, some of the best food isn’t found in supermarkets; it’s found at the end of farm tracks and village lanes. Freshly baked sourdough can be bought from Knapdale Artisan Bread’s honesty box in Tayvallich, as well as in local shops. Free-range eggs and cakes lovingly produced by local people are easy to come across at CluckandCollect Bridgend and just metres from the lodges at Leckuary Farm. Prime venison is abundantly available next door at Kirnan & Co and the Kirnan Estate in their state-of-the-art honesty fridge with WiFi cashless payment system. It’s local food culture at its best.

Supporting local businesses, reducing food miles, and enjoying pure Scottish produce straight from source this World Food Day. A quiet luxury that makes stays at Bradan Lodges feel more grounded. 🥚🍞🥩🍰

Perched on the edge of Loch Gilp, Lochgilphead is the ideal town to explore during a stay at Bradan Lodges. Located just 15 minutes down the road, and 2 hours from Glasgow, it offers a picture-perfect blend of coastal charm, independent local businesses, and rich Mid-Argyll culture.

Spend the morning wandering along the lochside, then head into town to explore the local food scene. Stop by Marmalade Deli for specialty artisan treats or enjoy a delicious bite at the Smiddy Bistro. When stocking up on essentials for your lodge, the Riverside Filling Station has everything needed for a comfortable stay, from charcoal and wood to locally cooked ready meals and sourdough.

Lochgilphead also hosts fantastic local events throughout the year, celebrating ancient history at the Celtic and Pictish Festival and traditional agriculture at the Mid-Argyll Show.

Huge congratulations to Tim and Kyra on their engagement! It was an absolute honour to prepare the backdrop for a memory that will last a lifetime. 🥂🍾

Behind the scenes, everything was set for the moment they stepped through the door: a stunning bouquet of flowers featuring a "Will You Marry Me?" card, a bottle of Prosecco chilled on ice, and a breakfast hamper by The Secret Baker waiting in the fridge so they could soak in every moment of morning-after magic together.

Tim crafted the dream proposal, and helping to create the romance in Pine Marten Lodge was a very special privilege for us at Bradan Lodges. 💘 💍✨

• Crinan Ferry (10-Minute Drive): Just down the road, this peaceful tidal haven offers wide open sands at low tide, views across to the Isles, and gentle waters perfect for a splash. Ideal for an effortless morning stroll before returning to the lodge.
• Kilmory Beach (40-Minute Drive): Worth every minute of the scenic drive down the peninsula past Loch Sween. This sweeping bay boasts fine pale sand, shallow waters, and breathtaking views across the Sound of Jura to the Paps of Jura. It is an absolute paradise for dogs who love a big run and Lucas the lodge dog is a huge fan!

Our first guest has already successfully used the new charger during their stay. This means everyone visiting Bradan Lodges can now arrive feeling completely confident that they can easily power up their electric vehicle right on site. 🔌 There’s no need to hunt for charging stations in the area; just settle into your lodge and let your car recharge while you unpack or relax in the hot tub.

By installing this charger, we’re proud to be doing our bit for the beautiful environment that surrounds us on the West Coast, making it even easier for guests to enjoy sustainable travel and explore this magical corner of Scotland responsibly. Our dog-friendly lodges are just 2 hours from Glasgow and a little under 3 hours from Edinburgh. Easily achievable on a single charge. 💚
