If you are booked to stay at IsleBebytheSea, we will have sent you direction links and check in details to you via the platform you booked via. This is usually the only contact method we have for you. We send 3 welcome messages. We ask you reply to one of these so we know you are definitely coming and have received the information we sent. Check in is availabile 4pm to 8.30pm only.

BOOK DIRECT WITH THE HOST via their own website for the best price.

The big booking sites take 15-20% off us as commission, then charge us for the booking. So by booking direct with us, we pass that saving to the customer.
(And we don't actually get our potion of payment until up to a month after your checkout, even though you pay at the time of booking.)

We provide EXACTLY the same cancellation and payment protection as the big common websites, but customer feedback says we are easier to deal with.

THERE IS NO ACTUAL BENEFIT TO BOOKING THROUGH THEM RATHER THAN US. X

The Isle of Lewis and the Isle of Harris are the one landmass, with a main ‘spinal’ road running throughout. You can drive the whole length of Lewis and Harris, from the bottom of Harris to the top of Lewis in about 2 hours if you go straight through. (But this is NOT what you should plan to if you want to explore here.. It's just to give context.)
As you can see on the map, IsleBebytheSea is centrally located on the land mass. We are about 15 min drive to Stornoway, 25 min drive to the Harris border, 45 mins drive to Tarbert (Harris), 50 min drive to Uig (Lewis),40 min drive to Callanish (Lewis) and about 45 min drive to Ness (Lewis).
We are in a village beside a sea loch, in the Lochs area of Lewis.

And just like that, our 2021 season is over.. Looking forward to a break from the changeover chores... But as well, looking forward to welcoming our 2022 guests with some new added comforts... We met some lovely guests this year. And had the pleasure of hosting quite a few honeymoons! Thank you to all for choosing IsleBebytheSea. We loved our stay at Isle be by the Sea! Everything about it was perfect - we loved the peaceful secluded location with the animals nearby and the accommodation was really lovely. The double bunkbeds were so cosy and comfy, such a lovely touch to leave the hot water bottle and sleep spray for me! The kitchen was really well-equipped and everything was really clean and tastefully done.

We really enjoyed sitting out at the picnic bench having a drink in the evenings, watching the water and also loved doing some of the walks you recommended in your booklet of information, thank you. After sitting outside in the evening we'd go in and sit in the 'snug' and watched films on the amazingly powerful WiFI :)

If you are looking for a quiet, secluded getaway with no distractions or noise and just being around nature, with time to let go and relax, this is the perfect place.
We stocked up at Tesco in Stornoway and there is a petrol station/well-equipped grocery store quite nearby as well. The accommodation is really well placed to explore the whole island, which is breath-takingly amazing - we would definitely love to come back one day, Thank you Ann :)

Just down from IsleBebytheSea is marked as a 'safe haven' on sea maps. Often we get beautiful yachts anchoring there. But today we have a grand tall ship! ⛵
