Ad | I’ve been testing this for a few weeks now.
As a proud Ta**us, I seek out beauty and sensuality in every moment. As an interior designer with a neuroscientific and wellness approach to design, I look at all the ways that design and decor can impact mood and support the nervous system.
Scent is the only sense with a direct line to the brain’s emotional centre. No filter, no delay, no conscious thought in between. Every other sense passes through a kind of switchboard first, but scent skips straight to the part of the brain that holds memory and feeling. That’s why a smell can undo you in half a second in a way almost nothing else can.
This is AIRY. Alcohol-free, made by a small studio in Japan, built around a single image: a garden in Kanazawa, just after rain. It opens with bergamot, settles into green tea, and finishes on jasmine and gardenia, grounded by a whisper of vanilla, like the air remembering what just happened to it.
I’ve kept it on the console table by my front door and it’s a dreamy dewy freshness that greets you after a long day.
Full edit and everything I’m currently curating for my entryway on shopmy, linked in bio.
