Emerald Apartments UK- COVID-19 update...

First and foremost, the whole team at Emerald Apartments hope that all our colleagues and esteemed guest are safe and well in this most difficult times.

In line with the recent UK government advise on COVID-19, and the need to support social distancing increases, we have decided to close all of our Serviced Apartments temporarily from Monday23rd 2020.

However, we are grateful to our team member for the support and passion displayed in the last few weeks. We will continue to support you and pay your full average weekly pay over eight weeks while business is closed.

Supporting our community:
Whilst our apartment are closed to the general public, our support to the city does not stop. We have decided to offer all of our apartments to critical NHS staff in need of self-isolation at no cost. We are in touch with the local NHS on how to implement this.

To our esteemed customers and guests, thank you for stay-in and saving a life. We know this is difficult times, and we shall overcome this invisible enemy together.

An update from us on COVID-19 (Corona virus)🦠🦠🦠

As the situation around novel Coronavirus continues to evolve, we are doing everything we can to prioritise your health & safety and provide maximum flexibility.

While we await governmental institutions regarding the UK efforts on dealing with the COVID-19 endemic, it has become expedient for us to activate our safeguarding measures.

To make sure we can keep on serving you to the standard you love & expect, we have put in place an updated cleaning & sanitising plan for all of our apartments to ensure they’re cleaned more frequently and with extra care.

Like other businesses tackling this issue, we’re being guided by the UK Government, which recommends regular cleaning as one of the most important preventive measures we can take.

We’re equally committed to caring for our team and so have provided our staff with up-to-the moment guidance & information so they keep themselves and their families safe.

Although the UK Government has raised the risk level assessment to be high, there are no restrictions on movement, and so we continue to operate normally.

As circumstances continue to develop, one thing will remain the same: We will make our decisions with the healthy, safety & wellbeing of our guests’ and team members as our highest priority.

Wow! Big Ben will stop chiming for 4 years!!

Britain’s much-loved Big Ben will fall silent for four years as conservation work is carried out on the famous 19th century bell in a clock tower next to the Houses of Parliament.

It will be the longest period that Big Ben, whose bongs are familiar to many people around the world because of their use in BBC radio and television broadcasts, has been silent in its 157-year history.

The Great Bell, popularly called Big Ben, weighs 13.7 tonnes and strikes every hour to the note of E. Four smaller bells also chime every 15 minutes.
