After a gruelling 2 weeks painting the bed, cleaning, setting up the furnishings and sorting out the front driveway/garden for Harrow Lodge, we are on or way to Oxford & Cotswolds for a much needed break for our free day trip with Star Tours which we won at Diwali Trafalgar Sq.

Here is a glimpse of where we are at with the 'N1' refurb after our lovely friend Maryam Sandjari Hashemi gutted the place late last year. I thought it apt to share this post now as we just recently celebrated Maryam's birthday.

There is a bit of a story behind this as we offered respite at our apartment whilst they searched for a new place as Maryam and Benja were faced with an unruly neighbour in their previously rented accommodation . One thing led to another and before we knew it, the place was gutted with love and such care and consideration. I actually could not believe how Maryam managed to sell and recycle almost all the fixtures and furnishings. The kitchen found a new home in a narrow boat and a lady in a wheelchair picked up the tiles.

They are happy in their new accommodation and I am happy with a blank canvas to begin work. DM me for further info if you are interested in investing with us.

It has been a while since we last posted, we have been busy with some personal issues whilst also dealing with the necessary planning, designing and preparation work required for our projects.

After months of interviewing building contractor firms and individual tradesmen, we finally have a select list of great people that we can draw on for our present and future projects.

Naina came across SGS Builders LTD at the local dentist and was impressed by Gurvinder’s workmanship, professionalism and character. And so we have selected his team to work on the ‘Harrow Lodge’ development.

We faced a few unexpected delays with the neighbours appointing a party surveyor, water leak damage from the property above ours and the lessee’s lease extension case all of which I am happy to say have now been finalised/resolved; there were a few hairy moments but managed to hold our ground.

Construction is now well under way having completed the rip out (courtesy of Raksit Patel) in November. See photos after the rip-out which includes the now exposed original fireplaces, and photos of current state with SGS on-site.

Our Islington ‘City Pad’ development is also well under way. The rip-out was executed by my lovely friend Maryam Sandjari Hashemi (https://www.facebook.com/share/1BLh2tygSZ/?mibextid=wwXIfr). I will post more on that later as it is an interesting story. Maryam is an artist, spiritual coach and loves working with and managing property. She literally freecycled/sold everything and gutted the place with love. I highly recommend her.
