🚣‍♂️ We were delighted to welcome the Never Again Club to The Clarendon for a very special dinner raising funds for the local junior rowers

The room looked beautiful, the tables were full, and it was wonderful to see so many club members and dinner guests coming together for such a meaningful local cause.

There’s something very special about hosting evenings like this. Great food, lovely company and a brilliant sense of community all in one room.

💍 Congratulations to Mr and Mrs McSharry

Last Saturday, we had the pleasure of hosting a beautiful wedding celebration for Mr and Mrs McSharry here at The Clarendon.

From the lovely table decorations to the happy faces around the room, it was such a special day to be part of. Every detail felt personal, and we have to mention the adorable knitted dolls of the couple sitting proudly on the table. Such a sweet touch🧶

It was wonderful to see family and friends come together to celebrate, laugh, share stories and enjoy such a memorable day.

Thursday evenings have a different feel when there is live music in the room.

Every other Thursday, The Chart Bar at The Clarendon welcomes live jazz to Blackheath, creating the kind of evening that feels easy to enjoy. A drink in hand, good company around the table, and music that gives the night its own rhythm.

The Greenwich Dog Show returns to the Old Royal Naval College on Sunday 24 May, bringing together a full day of wagging tails, riverside atmosphere, street food, stalls and plenty of four-legged charm.

There will be dogs of all shapes and sizes taking part, from rescue dogs to pedigrees, with fun categories including waggiest tail and most handsome dog. Visitors can also enjoy dog-friendly drinks at The Old Brewery, browse treats and toys from local stalls, and make a proper day of it by the river.

And if you’re planning to come into London for the weekend, there’s no need to leave your own dog behind.

✨ A little throwback to last month…

We had the pleasure of welcoming students from Greenwich Ark School for their hospitality work experience - and what a week it was.

They threw themselves into everything, from helping the team to getting a real feel for how the hotel runs day to day. Their attitude, energy and willingness to learn didn’t go unnoticed.

In fact, Kelvin was so impressed, he told them all to come back and apply for roles with us when the time comes - which says it all really.

It’s always great to be able to give local students a glimpse into the industry… and even better when they leave such a strong impression.

🚴‍♂️ More than 130 cyclists set off from The Clarendon yesterday morning for the London Paris Ride, raising money for Myeloma UK

It was an early start, with riders and our breakfast team up from 5am to make sure everyone was fed and ready before the journey began.

Over the next few days, the cyclists will be making their way from London to Paris as part of this incredible challenge, supporting vital work for people affected by myeloma.

It was a privilege to be part of the send off and to see so much energy, determination and team spirit before the ride began. 💪

Wishing every cyclist the very best of luck for the journey ahead. We’ll be cheering you on all the way to Paris!

Riley, the youngest member of our restaurant team, turned 18 today. A special birthday breakfast brunch was served for Riley and the breakfast team.

What was more impressive about this morning was that Riley and the team had a 5am start, so the Myeloma cyclist team could be fed before their big ride.

Happy birthday, Riley, and thank you for coming in early on such a special day.

🕵️‍♂️ What a night…

Last Friday evening, The Clarendon was transformed into the dangerous streets of 1920s Chicago for our Murder Mystery Dinner, and from the moment guests arrived, the atmosphere was brilliant.

There were gangsters, double-crosses, suspicious characters at every table… and more than a few detectives determined to crack the case before dessert.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and threw themselves into the evening so wholeheartedly. The costumes, the laughter, the theories flying across the room, it all made for a memorable night

And of course, thank you to Moonstone Murders for bringing Killer at the Casino to life so brilliantly.
