As we celebrate this October, we’re shining a light on two of our Fairtrade Foundation partners – Andback Coffee and PMD Tea - P.M.David Silva & Sons. These two companies, with sustainability at the core of everything they do, are proud friends of the RCH collection, and their products are always easy to spot in our hotels ☕️

&BACK Coffee proudly sources their beans from Fairtrade co-ops in East Africa and Latin America, guaranteeing fair wages, safe conditions, and direct community investment. Their unique focus on co-ops that empower women coffee farmers – who reinvest 90% of their income into their communities – truly sets them apart.

At PMD Tea, every step – from handpicking in Sri Lanka to biodegradable tea bags – is designed to support local communities and the environment. They partner with Rainforest & Fair Trade Certified estates that use hydro and solar power, even solar-powered zip lines, to reduce carbon emissions! For over 70 years, PMD has nurtured close relationships with these estates, ensuring excellent care for their workers.

This year we celebrate 100 years of hospitality, as one of the 42 family-owned and run TTC travel brands. Red Carnation’s history began when Solomon Tollman opened a small hotel in Paternoster (a small fishing village in South Africa) 100 years ago and we are proud to celebrate this milestone in 2020!
