Cavalry Memorial Sunday at the Cavalry and Guards Club. It is all about returning bowlers and brollies to the correct people! Lovely to have lots of lady officers taking part for the first time and we have kept their hats particularly safe!

Calling Cavalry and Guards Club Members!
As many members will know, the Club reciprocates with the St Moritz Tobogganing Club, which allows the more adventurous to participate in this exhilarating winter sport.

Advisory Council Member - Francis Roseman - is looking to complete his team to participate in the Second Inter-Club race from 6th–8th February. This is a splendid opportunity to wear the Club colours and represent the Club.

There will be 15 teams from clubs in the UK, US and Europe, brought together with the intention of increasing exposure of the sport to younger members of other clubs. To that end, it will be a sociable affair with a drinks reception, a day’s beginners’ training, two days of racing, and a black-tie closing dinner at Dracula’s Ghost Riders Club.

Despite this line up, costs have been deliberately kept low to suit the audience – and Francis has booked the Cresta Riders’ rooms at the Steffani Hotel (the heart of all things Cresta in St M), and Cavalry and Guards Club members will also be able to enjoy further rides at discounted rates as part of our reciprocal arrangement.

If you would like to participate, please let Catherine Brumwell know and she will put you in touch with Francis [email protected]

With a week to go to until the Jubilee Parade, have been rehearsing their part in the parade.

On Sunday afternoon, soldiers from across the British Army will parade in London to mark Her Majesty The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

As our Colonel-in-Chief and with the suffix of Queen Elizabeths’ Own, this will be particularly poignant for The Royal Lancers.

You will easily spot Lancers on parade with their red hats sporting the famous skull and cross bones motto ☠️

Soldiers will be marching with the lances with traditional crimped and pressed pennons.
