Sumners Ponds Fishery and Campsite is set in the peaceful West Sussex countryside amongst 100 acres of lakes, woodland, and pasture. The campsite boasts high-quality facilities, acres of woodland, a working farm, and four fully stocked fishing lakes. We are based in the beautiful and secluded setting of Barns Green village, which is perfect for just relaxing onsite at The Café by the Lake restaura

For the more active there is plenty of exploring to be done along the countless footpaths and cycleways within and around the site, or maybe a visit to the local market town of Horsham to enjoy an evening meal at one of the many top-rated restaurants. Sumners Ponds is an ideal touring base, with many beautiful Sussex towns and villages nearby. Access to the South Downs and the coast is easy, while Brighton is a 30-minute drive and London is only one hour by train.

Whether you’re joining us for a weekend fishing trip, heading out for a day session, or simply stopping by for supplies, our on-site tackle shop is fully stocked with all the essentials you need for a successful day on the bank.

We offer a wide range of bait, terminal tackle, rigs, pellets, boilies, liquids, and fishing accessories, alongside trusted brands including Fox, Korda, ESP, Drennan, Daiwa, Matrix, Sticky Baits, Mainline and more. From experienced carp anglers to those just getting started, we aim to provide quality products and helpful advice for every style of fishing here at Sumners Ponds.

Forgot something at home? Need a last-minute top up before your session? Looking for recommendations on what’s working best on the lakes? Our friendly team is always happy to help and point you in the right direction. We also offer fishing equipment hire, making it easier than ever for beginners and visitors to get out on the water and enjoy the experience.
