🌿 Our newly refurbished room 13 takes its cue from the view beyond its floor-to-ceiling windows – the leafy elegance of Stanley Gardens spilling into the room through colour, pattern and botanical detail.
L’Orangerie wallpaper by Manuel Canovas wraps the walls in foliage, creating a beautiful backdrop to a room that feels wonderfully connected to the gardens beyond. Rich textures, warm brass, natural materials and carefully chosen pieces give the space a collected, residential feel – somewhere to properly settle into rather than simply stay.
And then there’s the bathroom. A few stone steps lead up to a magnificent freestanding copper tub, where the garden inspiration takes a slightly unexpected turn. Above it, water pours through the mouth of a stone lion’s head, mimicking an old garden wall fountain and bringing a little of the romance and theatre of the gardens inside. Surrounded by palms and greenery, it’s a rather special place to sink into a deep bath and disappear for a while.
Layered, colourful and a little eccentric. Inspired by the gardens outside and unmistakably Portobello within.
Come and experience our newly reimagined Room 13 for yourself. 💚
