Our second Sunday Sundowners and Tapas event with ✨🍷

An evening of incredible food, canal views and a beautiful sunset to end the night.

From prawns & chorizo to patatas bravas, everyone gathered together on the rooftop deck to enjoy good food, passing boats, swans on the water and lots of laughter! 😀

Ever wondered what happens to a canal boat every few years?

Every three years, boats need to come out of the water to have the hull cleaned, checked and re-blacked. It’s a big part of keeping them safe and in good shape.

We cruised all the way from Little Venice to Uxbridge. A 40 minute drive or a day and a half by boat at walking pace!

Once we arrived, she was craned out of the water, jet-washed, inspected and given a fresh coat of blacking to protect her for the next couple of years.

Not our usual kind of post, but it’s a real part of boat life and the reason she stays strong and floating happily on the canal.
