The Bridge Developing People

Our primary aim is to offer development opportunities to people who are serious about a career in hospitality. We do this in 3 ways: 1. We offer a range of sector specific courses to people already working in the industry. A number of these courses are fully funded to people up to the age of 24 (subject to eligibility criteria) in cases where we are able to train four or more people between the ages of 16-24 we are happy to train people 25+ at no additional cost to the organisation 2. We run a 6 week intense programme for people that are unemployed and want to start a career in hospitality. This is a tough programme where people are taught how to develop a good work ethic and are given an in-depth insight into this industry. In addition they develop in front of house, back of house, food and beverage service and housekeeping. They gain experience by undertaking a work placement in our own training café where they are assessed for suitability of employment with one of our partners. From this they gain a Level 1 qualification in hospitality, a Level 2 BTEC qualification in work skills, barista training, food and hygiene. 3. Our existing partners request prospective candidates for jobs they are advertising. We prepare each candidate for the prospective employer by training them to the requirements of that particular organisation. For example, a restaurant or hotel will ask us to up skill a candidate to their specification thereafter they may run an open day where assessment can take place to decide if the candidate is suitable for the job they are advertising. If a candidate is successful we will continue to support by working closely with the employer and to progress the candidate onto further training such as an NVQ or an apprenticeship. We work with the employer so our delivery is flexible and meets the needs of the work force. In a nut shell we offer training opportunities for your work force and recruitment solutions for your organisation. There is no charge for these services. Our partners range from, Imli, Tamarind, Hotels in the Fullers Group, The Hilton Hotel group, Premier Inn, Brentford Football Club hospitality and other small organisations in West London
