The Darkroom has been put together, through various people that have an interest in the darkroom hand-made print. Founded by Sebastian Edge, the photographer and artist, whose work and interest stems from originality and craft. The darkroom caters for a wide range of photographers, who enjoy the craft of there own print. Work began in June this year to convert a number of rooms, once owned by a ca
rpenter, in a busy industrial estate in Tottenham hale. Into what has become a space for printers and makers. We have had help along the way, Gloria and her contacts and support with National Gallery, led to the donation of a number of rare pieces of equipment. Also from the depths of Kings college University came yet more interesting equipment, and there is room to grow, depending on what its members want. The Darkroom is situated in the Milmead Industrial estate, five mins walk from Tottenham Hale Tube Station. In the same building is Jump photography studios and rehearsal space.
