Liz was honoured to stand with the other nominees, and only woman! A shortlisting in itself says a great deal about her standing, experience, resilience and ambition in the hospitality industry. Well done Liz and thank you for your outstanding contribution!

SCAM ALERT: Please be aware that a number of our members are once again receiving emails from bogus list brokers trying to sell the UKHA membership list. PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE!

The List Purchase Scam: In September 2024 we became aware that our members were being approached by companies purporting to be selling a verified UKHA membership list. The UKHA has not and will not resell member data and does not not engage with any organisation claiming to sell UKHA data.

1. Be aware that if you are contacted by a third party regarding the sale of UKHA membership lists, such company is not acting on behalf of the UKHA. Please also be aware of similar instances in which a sender falsely claims to be a member of the UKHA staff.

2. If you do receive an email as detailed please forward it to [email protected] and we can add it to the list below.

3. If you have time please report and block these emails as 'phishing' emails via Outlook which will help block these email addresses reaching more inboxes. From your Outlook Inbox > Toolbar > Report > Report Phising > Select Report & Block.

UKHA Manchester & NW Meeting Review: Our spring meeting was held on 21st May 2026 at the beautiful Motel One Manchester-Royal Exchange. It was wonderful to welcome several new members alongside many familiar faces from the core of the association.

Scotland Meeting Review: UKHA Scotland members and committee gathered at The Salutation Hotel in Perth for their May meeting and enjoyed a fashion show, a buffet and a raffle.

Meeting Review from Ruth Clark: At our May meeting UKHA Scotland members were treated to a fashion Show, modelling a chosen collection of workwear from Florence Roby. The collection was kindly supplied by Karen Hesketh, Business Development Manager Florence Roby, who also introduced each model and uniform item before the models walked down the catwalk. It was a fun day and something a bit different !

Members were hosted by Gordon Paterson General Manager at the Salutation Hotel in Perth, alongside Kay MacMillan Head Housekeeper. We had welcome drinks and cold food buffet with lots of sweet treats.

Special thanks to Monika, Housekeeper at the Salutation Hotel for modelling along with UKHA Scotland Committee members on the catwalk .

We also welcomed new members and were treated to a presentation from Allan Ferguson from Allan's Chilli Products, where he gave us his story, took questions and then we had the chance to sample some of his products - spicy stuff!
