Looking for a smart housekeeper to join the team.
You will be joining the team running a highly rated and popular B&B in London. We are passionate about the best customer service and we aim to offer the best hospitality.
You will be working 5 days per week (including weekends and bank holidays) on a rota basis. Start time is 8 am.
The work day is divided into two parts.
First part: Breakfast
Your duties include setting the table, welcoming guests, taking food and drink orders and bringing them to the table, cleaning the kitchen and the breakfast room at the end of breakfast. You are likely to engage with the guests responding to their queries about where to go and how to move around London while serving the breakfast.
Second part: Housekeeping (cleaning rooms and bathrooms)
Your duties include servicing the rooms by changing bedding, dusting, mopping the floor and cleaning the bathrooms. You will be taking the beddings and towels to the washing machine. Knowing how to iron is a plus. Sometimes you may be required to welcome guests and to take them to their room.
The ideal candidate would be:
- A people person who can respond to guests queries and who is approachable and polite.
- Presentable and professional
- Honest and trustworthy
- A person who has attention to detail and is keen to learn new skills
- Lives no more than 5 miles away from the Bed and Breakfast
- Flexible
- Reliable
- Speaks fluent English
- Has a good knowledge of London
