Autumn in Dublin is one of Europe’s best kept secrets. Mild enough for a proper hike, crisp enough for a refreshing sea dip after. The locals swim year round - why not plunge into the local culture and join ‘em?

Howth Pier at golden hour never disappoints. Grab a fish & chips from Beshoffs and walk it off along the cliffs.

Dublin’s favourite spot for a cold water plunge, any time of year. Go early and you’ll get it all to yourself, wait a little longer and the local swimmers might ask you to join for a chat and a cup of tea.

Departing straight from Dublin’s Docklands - watch the city skyline from the water and keep an eye out for seals near Dalkey Island!

Tucked below Vico Road, this little cove is why locals call this stretch Dublin’s Riviera. This spot is known for it’s incredible sunrises and rock pool.

Ask any Dubliner and they’ll tell you: this is our Amalfi Coast. Climb the hill for the view over the bay, then wind down to the rocky beach below.

This is the one the locals actually queue for, not the one that just photographs well. Get there early, the pastries go fast and the fresh loaves don’t hang around much longer.

Loads of incredible stalls under one roof so nobody in the group has to compromise on lunch.

Vintage shops, street art and great coffee on every corner. It’s easy to lose track of time wandering around here.

Canal views, great pints and outdoor seating perfect for soaking up a sunny evening. Get there before sunset and grab a seat by the canal.

King Street is where the day should all wind down. Slower pace, good people watching and somewhere to sit with a drink and watch the world go by.

 .. here’s few things we’d absolutely avoid in Edinburgh 👀

It’s ‘’the Fringe’’. A tiny correction, but it comes with instant local credibility.

Some of the best shows at Fringe are the ones you’ve never heard of. Go niche, take a chance and you might even see an act before they blow up.

Give yourself at least 30 minutes between venues. Edinburgh hills, crowds and cobbled streets will humble your itinerary - some shows won’t even let latecomers in.

Ubers can be painfully slow during Fringe, especially around the Old Town. Walk where you can, or stick to buses, trams and rental bikes.

Sun, horizontal rain and freezing winds can all show up within an hour. Pack layers, a rainjacket and shoes made for hills, cobbles and an accidental 20,000 step day. Dress for the unpredictable weather, not for the grid.
