Free Christmas Parking

Erewash Borough Council will again be providing a festive gift to local residents through its Christmas free parking scheme in all of its car parks every day from Saturday 18 December to Monday 3 January. The free parking will start at 10am daily and is aimed at encouraging residents to do their seasonal shopping at local shops and markets.

Councillor Michael Powell, Erewash Borough Council’s Lead Member for Regeneration and Planning, says:

“We are pleased to be able to offer seasonal free parking in the borough this year. It has been another tough year for everybody but we will continue to strive to support our town centres.”

Normal parking charges will resume from Tuesday 4 January 2022.

All of the council’s car parks are part of the scheme, with the exception of the commuter car park at Long Eaton Railway Station. Ilkeston Railway Station car park is not owned by the council.

Starting to get things ready to welcome ‘leisure’ guests back to the house, in a few weeks time.

Still got a bit more ‘sprucing up’ work to be done....just some jet washing and fresh coat of paint on the wall.

The clematis is starting to grow again, can’t wait to see that in full bloom, it’s a beauty!

Even during these unprecedented times we have been able to remain open, offering accommodation solutions to our crucial essential workers.

We are still open for business, however to comply with Government guidelines we have had to modify slightly.

We can no longer accept individual, separate room bookings because of our communal kitchen, however we are able to accept full house bookings from key and essential workers or from local’s needing temporary accommodation.

As a reminder, we offer 5 bedrooms all have their own private bathrooms. All rooms come with free Netflix and WiFi as standard.

The 3 largest rooms can be arranged as super king double rooms or twin single.

Our communal kitchen is fully equipped with double oven, dishwasher, large American style fridge freezer.

We have an outdoor courtyard with seating, a smoking area and an outdoor laundry room with washing machine and tumble drier.

We are able to offer competitive rates and longer term stays can be negotiated.

We are open as normal. We are out in the fresh air which they tell us we still need in the current climate. We have always supplied good hand washing facilities with Anti Bacterial Soap. In our shop we have plenty of fresh fruit and veg to eat healthy
Our lambs are still being born so come see new life skipping around

I’ve mentioned before that we are incredibly proud of our booking.com cleanliness review score of 9.7, however as owners we have taken extra measures to reassure our guests.
With that in mind, we have done some extra research and taken advice from other serviced accommodation operators and have invested in an ozone generator.
This will be used in every room following a guest departure.
As this is a lengthy process (2hrs run time with an additional 30mins required before a room is considered ‘safe’ for entry) we may have to reconsider any requests for early check in/late check out.
We will still consider requests of this nature and accommodate wherever possible.

To all our friends and customers

Today is the grand opening of our new venture and whilst we are super excited to have got this far, we thought it best to clarify our position in what is a difficult time for everyone

The latest advice leaves our small family business in a state of limbo with no recourse to insurance. Working from home is not an option for us and whilst we are not encouraging people to dismiss the government advice, we will remain open until further notice for the people fortunate enough to feel healthy.

This is not a decision we have taken lightly and the health of both our team and customers is our absolute priority. We will be taking extra measures to reduce the risk and would ask you to help us achieve this should you visit. We hope our recent 5 star food hygiene score goes some way to reassuring our customers as to how committed we are to maintaining a clean, safe environment in which to prepare and serve food.

Whilst all of this may change with the next government announcement, we just wanted to say that if you are healthy and in need of a break from everything, we are here, we are open, we are Cleaver. Thank you for your continued support.
