Hello 👋 I'm conscious I haven't posted for a while. Just to say Sea and Golf Retreat is still going strong. We had a very busy Summer and were booked out most of May-September, hence the lack of posts. But here are some photos from Summer until now. We are taking bookings for 2025 now 🌊 🏖

I'm getting a well deserved rest at Sea & Golf this week 🌊.

I noticed that Boatshore by the sea Holiday Cottage had a gorgeous copper frame made for their holiday home recently by local artist Copperchick. Having grown up at Seton Sands I have fond childhood memories of the old copper facings we had on the fireplace in the caravan, so I decided to get a frame made for Sea & Golf, which I absolutely love 🥰

Welcome to our new followers 👋 ! The Sea and Golf season is off to a great start with Katy and friends staying for a girls weekend from the very first day of the season.

I sneaked down tonight after work for my first night of the season...just in time for this stunning sunset beach walk 😍 🌊

We've had our first weekend back down at Sea and Golf since June after a busy Summer of rentals. What a scorcher it was! We made the most of it by taking the kayak and paddleboard to Longniddry Bents, a lovely safe, sheltered bay. Lots of fresh air and big smiles.

Even on a wild windy day there's still beauty to explore. The beach was deserted apart from some hardy windsurfers, which is lovely to watch

Well, that's a wrap. We are now officially fully booked for the Summer! Thank you so much for all of your support. We are still taking bookings for September and October, and for 2024.

I love this time of year when everything is so vibrant and alive. You'll see an array of vivid wildflowers like these poppies along the beach and through the nearby forest trails (Sandy Walk and Seton Dean). Photo taken a 10 minute walk from the holiday home.

Musselburgh Lagoons is a great place for families to have a go on paddleboards and kayaks. It's sheltered from the wind and is only waist deep, giving kids more freedom to explore watersports. Just take care on the pot-holed road on entry to the car park, which is right on the water. This is only a 10 min drive from the holiday park

I always loved visiting these wrecks as a child with my dad (walking distance from the holiday home). Sadly some of the wrecks I grew up exploring can no longer be seen, but this one takes me right back to my childhood.

There are also two World War Two submarine wrecks off the coast of Aberlady Nature Reserve that I've yet to visit.

Another day, another new castle discovery! This castle is believed to have been built in 1590 and vacated in 1800. It's near the golf village of Gullane, surrounded by fields of rapeseed. It's only a 15 minute drive along the coast from the holiday home.
