It’s a Looe Regatta kind of weekend! One of the many events that Looe hosts. Traditional Luggers, two masted sailing boats once common along the coasts of England and France, have been heading to Looe this week for the regatta.

The newly released film - The Salt Path - starring and tells the true story of Raynor Winn and her husband Moth, who embark on a 630 mile walk along the South West Coast Path, which is on Banjo’s doorstep, quite literally! Great to see more publicity showcasing this beautiful county. The Looe to Polperro part of the path is a popular and picturesque walking route. Start at Banjo, walk through East Looe, cross the bridge into West Looe, walk past Hannafore beach and then carry on taking in the beautiful coastal views. Stop at for a treat or two before arriving at Polperro. The bus is an option for the return leg if your legs are weary!

As we wrap up our end of season maintenance, here’s one of the changes we made midway through the season following feedback - a new bed - in one of our en suite bedrooms! Brand new bedside cabinets too. Our guests now enjoy the upgrade from a double bed to a king with a sturdy frame and new comfy mattress. Lots of lovely beautiful dreams 💤 !

It is a beautiful sunny ☀️ morning from Banjo Pier. It has been a busy year for Banjo Cottage and we extend our thanks to all our guests who have chosen Banjo, and Looe, for their break away. We hope you have enjoyed your stay. We are here for two weeks planning for next year and doing maintenance jobs. Big changes coming. All will be revealed……
